Middle School Jazz Ensemble Audition Material

 

The following is supplemental information that is specific to the Middle School Jazz Ensemble.  All paragraphs with reference to All-State Jazz Ensemble will not apply.

 

SCALES:

 

Wind or rhythm students shall perform all six of the major scales used for honor band auditions in the following order:

 

Rhythm players should play all scales 2 octaves.  The piano is to play 2-octave chromatic starting on any pitch. Pianists must play scales hands-together. All other pitch requirements are listed below:
